My family is slowly catching on that we can enjoy activities online - together On Saturday we watched an art class on zoom (from YouTube) and everyone had bought paints before hand. Costumes were involved. The outcome was fantastic, fun and affordable On New Years we’re doing a murder mystery for 8 that we found in the web (free)
Characters are about 8 pages long. This has inspired my mum to get my uncle who is an incredible chef and has run restaurants to host a bread making class for his 3 sisters and their extended families so the bread making will be taught to 16 people. All with zoom, some ingredients and some family knowledge.. I hope this continues when the pandemic is over. It all feels so obvious. Why haven’t we been doing this all year? Why not before COVID? Life is short and we’re fortunate enough to have a family that likes each other. Instead of a wedding every few years bringing us together - we should do at least biannual lessons/activities. There’s definitely a lot of patience needed with these events - it is like herding cats. But this year both my mother and my brother published books. I’ve released 2/3 products with legs that I’m really proud of. All of these are opportunities to down tools and celebrate life. Book readings, launch parties etc There are a million reasons to spend time with family online that we (my family) are not using. Maybe the same for you? I’m not sure what the problem here is yet but I’m sure this can all be facilitated more easily with some tech/tools.
